High 275°F Pressure 150psi @70° White Nylon fittings exhibit the same physical and chemical resistance properties as Natural Nylon. These fittings contain a percentage of recycled material sourced from our Natural Nylon, virgin material production runs. A white colorant is added to differentiate our White Nylon fittings from Natural Nylon fittings. If your application does not require lot traceability or NSF certification, these fittings represent an excellent value. White Nylon fittings are manufactured to the same tolerances and high quality standards as all EJ fittings. | ||||||

James' Nylon choice, is one of the three oldest and most important of the nylon
resins. It is a lubricated version, of a 6/6 nylon made by the polymerization
of hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid, each containing six carbon atoms. The
6/6 formulations have the highest melting point and dry-as-molded strength and
stiffness of the melt processible nylon homopolymers. They combine strength, moderate
stiffness, high service temperature, and toughness. The formulations are particularly
resistant to repeated impact, have low coefficients of friction and have
an excellent resistance to abrasion. They resist fuels, lubricants and many chemicals,
but are attacked by phenols, strong acids and oxidizing agents. Acceptable sterilization
methods include Ethylene Oxide or Autoclave, see sterilization
chart for details.
