Position Summary and Scope

Our molders enjoy working with new electric molding machines in a new state of the art facility in Denver, CO. Eldon James molds proprietary products made from high quality molds requiring no secondary rework or manual operation. Material handling is automated using the most reliable equipment available. Overhead cranes have been installed to reduce technician fatigue from moving cranes and mold bases. We only process clean and green materials for the safety of our team and customers. We will never process PVC.

The Process Technician is required to maintain control of processes for injection and MIM (Metal Injection Molding). The job requires knowledge and proficiency in processes such as insert changes, setups and production start ups for both MIM and plastic injected products.

Organizational Relationships

The technician reports to the Process Engineer/ Production Manager and is responsible for maintaining working relationships and communication with other Process and Quality technicians.

Duties and responsibilities Process Technicians will be responsible for the following job duties:

  • Directing and monitoring the execution of the production schedule as well as performing mold and/or material changes as dictated by the schedule
  • Performing process troubleshooting; inspection of in-process product and various other functions to insure product conformity and quality.
  • Process Technicians are responsible for verification of paperwork/records for jobs; execution of job start process in IQMS and monitoring and preparing production support equipment i.e. circulators, grinders, etc., as needed.

Working Conditions

The role is performed in a manufacturing environment, which may be a controlled environment (classified cleanroom).

Education & Training

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required along with an ability to read measuring devices, i.e. micrometer, gauge pins and an ability to interpret part drawings.
  • The technician must possess or be able to obtain a valid forklift license, and an ability to operate overhead cranes and use hand tools.
  • A basic knowledge of decoupled molding and the use of IQMS or other manufacturing enterprise software is a plus.

Special Requirements

  • The team member must have good motor skills and the ability to lift 50 LBS. The position requires standing, walking, lifting, turning, twisting, reaching, pulling and pushing as part of the mold maintenance and installation processes.

****This position is for 2nd shift. The hours are 2:00PM-10:30PM, Monday through Friday****

Overview

Support role for Injection Molding Technicians. Focus will be on mold set-up, tear down, and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Using daily production schedule, stages mold bases, mold inserts, and complete mold assemblies.
  • Completes tear down and re-assembly of molds with interchangeable inserts.
  • Conducts in-press mold insert changes.
  • Inspects mold bases and inserts, documents damage or opportunities for improvement. Works directly with toolroom staff to coordinate needed repairs or improvements.
  • Removes mold and auxiliary equipment from molding machine and returns equipment to proper location. Locates next mold and sets in the molding machine.
  • Sets up and prepares auxiliary equipment such as temperature controllers, conveyors, resin dryers, finishing tools, etc.
  • Maintains standards for quantity, quality, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Preforms preventative maintenance on molds and mold inserts.
  • Performs additional job duties not outlined, but within the scope of the job activities as directed.
  • Equipment used: Plastic injection molding machine, cranes, various hand tools, temperature controllers, etc.

Position Summary and Scope
The Quality Control Technician 1 position is responsible for inspection functions associated with Eldon James’ operations, including but not limited to: accurately performing part measurements and checks with appropriate measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.), correctly compare measured results against dimensions and tolerances specified on inspection drawings, and determine the pass/fail status of the parts.

Organizational Relationships
The Quality Technician 1 reports to the Quality Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining working relationships and communication with department supervisors, other Quality technician’s, and the Processing Technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Control inspection and approval of first-article parts at the beginning of part runs and at 2 hour increments throughout the run.
  • Identification of product defects and communicating with responsible production personnel when corrective actions are necessary.
  • Performing part measurements and checks with appropriate measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Accurate comparison of measured results against dimensions and tolerances specified on inspection drawings, and determine the pass/fail status of the parts.
  • Visual inspection of manufactured parts using defined pass/fail inspection criteria to determine the acceptability of the parts.
  • Completion of data entry into specified quality system and quality inspection forms.
  • Release of product based on its conformance to specifications
  • Receiving inspection and any required dimensional inspection of outsourced products
  • Initiate Corrective Actions and Discrepant Material Reports when appropriate
  • Assist with boxing, counting (by weight), and labeling part boxes for transfer to inventory.Accurate inventory move and quantity transactions using the IQMS ERP software
  • Validation of product using various technical testing devices or systems
  • Verification and release of incoming raw materials using Certificate of Analysis data

Experience: Education, Training and Expectations

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience in a quality position
  • Accurate math skills are required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including business and phone etiquette
  • Works well with co-workers and is a team player
  • Very strong attention to detail/excellent vision – yearly vision exam required
  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel and an ability to learn the organizations ERP software

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative/Inside Sales position is required to successfully perform product sales functions, to manage key accounts, order and data entry, customer support and account management and growth. Inside Sales person is to actively pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, and inquiry calls.

Duties and Responsibilities – including but not limited to:

  • Manage customer contact, account activity and follow up to order inquiries
  • Entering sales orders, checking account status, sending acknowledgments to customers and processing sample requests
  • Creating and presenting reports or presentations as requested by management
  • Effective resolving customer complaint issues, and making the appropriate entries in the customer complain log
  • Maintain, monitor, and grow top performing customers
  • Cold calling/seeking new opportunities
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of effective sales practices and activities in support of company goals.

  • Assist shipping with the product certification documents and paperwork

Organizational Relationships

  • The Customer Service Representative/Inside Sales reports to the president and maintains a working relationship and communication with sales, contract review, production, quality, shipping and accounting departments.

Education & Training

  • Associate or BA Degree, plus two years in a sales and/or customer service environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Through knowledge of sales order entry, customer services and sales support functions.
  • Good working knowledge of person computers and office software including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledgeable in the use of CRM relational database programs such as Sage (ACT), Sales Force etc.
  • Physically capable of operating typical office machinery/devices, including personal computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, wireless communication devices, multi-line business telephone systems, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in the generation of various software reports.

Position Summary and scope
The extrusion tech is required to maintain control of the extrusion process. The tech needs to be mechanically inclined and have good knowledge of tools and tool usage.

Organizational Relationships
The technician reports to the extrusion manager, production manager, and general manager. Maintain working relationships and communication with department supervisors, other process techs and the quality manager and team.

Duties and Responsibilities
Extrusion Technicians will be responsible for the following job duties:

  • Understand that the Customer is our first priority.
  • Monitoring the execution the extrusion process and following the setup and schedules.
  • Tooling size and material changes.
  • Preforming trouble shooting; inspection and quality of tubing.
  • Extrusion Technicians are responsible for verification of paperwork/records for jobs; job starts first article, 15/30 minute size checks. Monitoring and preparing production equipment i.e. extruders, puller/cutters, prepping printer, and having all material handled and ready for run. The role is performed in a manufacturing environment, which may be a controlled environment (classified cleanroom).
  • Must be thorough and understanding of job duties, adapt to change volunteers to other when there is time, Very detailed oriented. Fast learner, able to pick things up on the fly. Making deadlines staying on task.
  • Team player.

  • Be able to move freely in shop area with obstacles, and be in confined spaces. Work early mornings, evening and weekends if required.
  • The team member must have a good motor skills and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. The position requires standing for up to 10 hours, lifting, turning, twisting, reaching, pulling and pushing as part of the tooling process of extrusion.
